On the 18th International Symposium on Iron Nutrition and Interaction in Plants, held in Madrid on the days of May 30 - Jun 3 2016, Ferenc Fodor (Department of Plant Physiology and Molecular Plant Biology, Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary) acted as member of the scientific committee, and presented an invited keynote lecture with the title Fe pools in roots: mechanism of iron acquisition from different sources. The lecture also touched upon our first experiments dealing with nanoparticles as potential iron fertilizers for plants.
