Iron oxide nanoparticles for plant nutrition? A preliminary Mössbauer study

On the 2nd Mediterranean Conference on the Applications of the Mössbauer Effect (MECAME 2016), held in Cavtat, Croatia, on the days of 31 May - 03 June 2016, Ernő Kuzman and Zoltán Homonnay (Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary) acted as member of the Program Committee and of the International Advisory Board, respectively. On the conference Zoltán Homonnay presented an invited lecture with the title Iron Oxide Nanoparticles for Plant Nutrition? - A Preliminary Mössbauer Study, in which he introduced our first results regarding the morphology and structure of ferrihydrite and magnetite/maghemite nanoparticles. The lecture focused on our results achieved by the means of 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy on these nanoparticle samples.
